The Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Centre has the major task of serving the 360,000 inhabitants of Tel Aviv. This Medical centre is spread out over an area of 150,000 m2 and incorporates three hospitals: Ichilov General Hospital and Ida Sourasky Rehabilitation Centre, Lis Maternity Hospital, and Dana Children's Hospital. The Tel Aviv Medical Centre also serves as a teaching and research centre affiliated with the Sackler Medical School and Tel Aviv University's Sheinborn Nursing School. The Medical Center has 1100 hospital beds, approximately 60 departments and institutes, and approximately 150 outpatient clinics. 2500 Neurosurgical procedures a year. Very active Neuro-Oncological program with about 800 brain tumours a year ( About 250-300 cases a year).

Main tasks attributed to the organisation: Co-developing and investigational the pre-clinical studies. Major participation in the clinical facilities and optimization phase. Involvement in conducting the Phase I Clinical Trial with malignant glioma patients undergoing surgical removal.
